KAWA USA Tennessee Chapter to Host 2026 Kimchi Festival on November 14
-Free community event to feature hands-on kimchi-making, Korean food, traditional cultural activities, and more
-Free vendor booths available for local businesses and nonprofit organizations
The Korean American Women’s Association (KAWA USA) Tennessee Chapter will host its 2026 Kimchi Festival on Saturday, November 14, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Korean Unity Baptist Church in Antioch, Tennessee.
The festival aims to introduce Korean food and culture to the local community while bringing together people from diverse cultural backgrounds through hands-on activities and cultural experiences.
One of the main attractions will be a kimchi-making workshop, where participants can learn how to prepare kimchi, Korea’s traditional fermented vegetable dish. KAWA members will guide visitors through the preparation process step by step. Participants will also have the opportunity to purchase the kimchi they make and take it home.
The festival will feature a variety of Korean foods and cultural activities, including traditional Korean clothing (Hanbok) experiences and Korean calligraphy, where visitors can have their names written in Hangul, the Korean alphabet.
Raffle drawings featuring BTS merchandise, gift cards, and other prizes will also be held during the event.
Free Vendor Booths Available
The organizers are also inviting local businesses, individual vendors, and nonprofit organizations interested in selling or promoting Korean food and Korean-related products.
Vendor booth spaces will be provided free of charge in the church parking lot. Participating vendors must bring their own tents or canopies and agree to donate 10% of their event sales proceeds to the KAWA USA Tennessee Chapter, a nonprofit organization.
The KAWA USA Tennessee Chapter is a nonprofit women’s volunteer organization dedicated to serving the Korean American community and the broader local community.
Through the festival, the organization hopes to promote Korean cultural traditions, strengthen community connections, and encourage cultural exchange among residents.
The organizers welcome families, friends, and neighbors to attend and enjoy Korean food, cultural activities, and a celebration of community.
Admission is free and open to the public.
